Verstappen’s Red Bull Future to Be Decided Before Summer Break

Max Verstappen will make his decision about Red Bull Racing before the summer break, according to his manager Raymond Vermeulen. The four-time world champion is on the verge of clarifying whether he’ll commit to the team long-term.

Vermeulen confirmed that a decision is coming soon. The timing matters: contract talks have reached a crucial point, and the paddock has been buzzing with speculation about where Verstappen goes next.

Escape hatches do exist in Verstappen’s deal. “Of course there are clauses that would allow us to leave; those have always been there,” Vermeulen acknowledged. Yet he was emphatic about what the driver has chosen to do. “But we have never used them. On the contrary, we have always been loyal and we will remain loyal.”

The message from his camp is clear: staying put is the goal. “We want to continue on the path with Red Bull and make sure that Max finishes his career here,” Vermeulen said. Red Bull, under owner Chalerm Yoovidhya, is equally keen to keep its star.

A resolution could arrive within weeks. Once Verstappen settles the question, Red Bull’s competitive trajectory for the next several seasons will come into focus.
