Alexa Guarachi has earned a spot in the U.S. Open alongside partner Alicja Rosolska. For the Miramar Beach native, this marks a significant return—her first Grand Slam appearance since 2023.

Guarachi’s rise through professional tennis speaks for itself. She cracked the top 11 in the world rankings and finished runner-up at Roland Garros in 2020. At the 2021 U.S. Open, she reached the semifinals with teammate Desirae Krawczyk. Across 21 Grand Slam appearances, she holds a 22-21 record.

The U.S. Open has always been a strong tournament for her. She boasts an 8-6 record at the event and has reached at least the third round three times.

Her path to the pros started locally and in college. Guarachi was a state champion at South Walton and earned All-American honors at Alabama. Early on, she partnered with Erin Routliffe to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals in 2019. The partnership that produced her best results came with Desirae Krawczyk—together they won four of her five career WTA titles.

These days, Guarachi serves as Director of Racquet Sports at Watersound Club. First-round matches begin July 2–3, with coverage on ESPN and ESPN+.
