JBL Defends Tommy Dreamer After TNA Creative Firing

Обновлено: 25.06.26 Posted by: Vladimir

JBL recently spoke up for his former colleague on the podcast Something to Wrestle. “The reason I went to TNA is because of Tommy. I reached out to Tommy, Tommy reached me,” he explained, defending Tommy Dreamer after the latter was fired from his role as head of creative at TNA Wrestling.

Dreamer’s exit followed allegations of inappropriate behavior. Referee Dan Perch accused him of attempting to blackball him. Meanwhile, wrestlers Dani Jordyn and Kennedi Copeland said Dreamer forced them into inappropriate spots during past matches.

The accusations came as TNA’s creative direction drew criticism. With Dreamer in charge, the company struggled to fill seats at live events and saw lackluster ratings on AMC.

Road Dogg is expected to step into Dreamer’s shoes as head of creative. JBL’s public backing reveals fault lines in wrestling’s community over both Dreamer’s tenure and the allegations leveled against him.

The misconduct reckoning in professional wrestling has shadowed Dreamer’s career beyond TNA. He appeared on Dark Side of the Ring in connection with accusations that Ric Flair sexually harassed or assaulted flight attendants on the Plane Ride from Hell. Flair was later suspended from TNA as a result of his conduct on that flight.
