Can a fighter truly reinvent herself in a new sport? Lola Vice proved it’s possible. The former Bellator MMA fighter traded the cage for the ring when she joined WWE, and discovered a version of herself she’d never encountered before.
Vice has built her career on the WWE NXT roster over several years, working her way up to championship status. That trajectory shifted at the Great American Bash, where she lost the WWE Women’s NXT Championship to Kendal Grey. In a video conversation with Jimmy V3 before the match, Vice reflected on her journey from MMA to this moment.
“WWE has taught me so many life skills and has taught me so many things about myself, good things and bad things that I had to face and overcome and work on as a performer and as a woman,” Vice said. Her evolution shows in how she’s developed as an athlete. “I have matured so much with the WWE. I feel like I’ve grown so much as a performer, and if there’s one thing that’s the same about me is that I have the same work ethic that I had my whole life,” she explained.
What stands out most is Vice’s confidence in herself. “But now I’m more confident in myself and ever and I believe that all my dreams are coming true and I’m living my destiny,” she said. That belief—forged through years of fighting, in the literal and figurative sense—shapes who she is now. The athlete who once fought in a cage has found a new stage, and in WWE, she’s become someone new.
