Wynton McManis Joins Hamilton Tiger-Cats After Argonauts Exit

After the Toronto Argonauts fell short in their Grey Cup run, veteran middle linebacker Wynton McManis found his next home in Hamilton.

McManis has signed with the Tiger-Cats following his time with the Argonauts. It’s a fresh start for the defensive veteran, who now gets to work building chemistry with Hamilton’s defensive unit.

The Argonauts’ season ended in November 2024 when they faced the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at the 111th Grey Cup on November 17 in Vancouver, B.C.. That loss opened the door for changes across the league’s rosters.

McManis brings his experience into the Tiger-Cats fold as the CFL’s offseason unfolds. The signing is typical of how teams reshape their defenses from year to year.
