Wade Seccombe has been confirmed as Victoria’s new Head of Men’s Cricket, effective July 6, 2026. The 54-year-old steps into the role following David Hussey’s departure at the end of May.

Seccombe brings a solid track record across Australian cricket. He most recently worked as performance manager at Melbourne Renegades, and continues to advise the San Francisco Unicorns through a partnership between Victoria and the Major League Cricket franchise. His coaching background also spans Queensland and Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League.

During his playing days, Seccombe was a wicketkeeper-batter who turned out for Queensland in domestic cricket. His first-class record shows 3,559 runs from 115 matches at 24.54, with four centuries and 12 fifties, plus 517 catches and 21 stumpings. In List A cricket, he made 90 appearances for 955 runs at 21.22, recording 128 catches and 26 stumpings. He shared dressing rooms with Matthew Hayden and Stuart Law during his time in Queensland colours.
