UFC 329: McGregor Returns to Face Holloway in Las Vegas

Обновлено: 10.07.26 Posted by: Vladimir

Conor McGregor steps back into the Octagon on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for UFC 329, marking his long-awaited return to competition. He’ll face Max Holloway in the welterweight main event—a rematch of sorts, though their first fight was more than a decade ago.

The Irish fighter’s absence has been long. Out of action since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier five years ago, McGregor suffered that injury following back-to-back losses to the same opponent. Over his last four fights, he’s lost three—a stretch that started with his 2018 defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Holloway isn’t coming in fresh either. He recently lost the ‘BMF’ title to Charles Oliveira. Oliveira controlled the fight on the mat, taking him down repeatedly and securing a decision victory, leaving Holloway hungry for a win.

Other UFC 329 Predictions

The undercard delivers several intriguing matchups. Terrance McKinney has never let a professional fight go to the judges across 13 UFC fights. His finishing power is striking: five UFC victories ended in under a minute, though only two of his UFC fights have lasted past round one.

Cory Sandhagen squares off against Mario Bautista with a potential grappling advantage for Bautista. Sandhagen has been taken down at least twice in six UFC fights, while Bautista averages just under two takedowns per fight—a potential edge on the mat.

Benoit Saint Denis arrives riding four straight finishes. Paddy Pimblett, by contrast, took a beating from Justin Gaethje to start the year and now looks to bounce back.

The prediction record stands at 15-17 year-to-date, after a 3-4 result at UFC Freedom 250.
