HC Oranje-Rood to Host Euro Hockey League Men’s ROUND1 in October 2026

HC Oranje-Rood will stage the ABN AMRO Euro Hockey League Men’s ROUND1 in Eindhoven from October 9th to 11th, 2026. The tournament marks the 20th EHL season and returns elite European club hockey to the Dutch city for the first time in seven years.

Charles Roelslaan is well-versed in hosting continental competition. The venue previously staged the Euro Hockey League GRAND FINAL in 2014 and 2019, plus the KO16 in 2017. This time around, it will welcome 12 teams split into four groups of three, drawn from 11 different nations.

The participating teams are HC Oranje-Rood, Royal Orée, Wimbledon, Rot-Weiss Köln, Real Club de Polo, CAM92, Lille MHC, Lisnagarvey, Edinburgh University, Slavia Prague, SV Arminen, and Rotweiss Wettingen. Two clubs will make their EHL debut: Royal Orée and Edinburgh University. Among the established competitors is Rot-Weiss Köln, the 2017 Euro Hockey League champions.

The draw for the Men ROUND1 is scheduled for July 15th. One interesting detail: the tournament weekend falls during the ASML Marathon Eindhoven, making for a busy sporting week in the city.
