Belgium to Host EuroHockey Indoor Championships 2030 in Brussels

Belgium will host the EuroHockey Indoor Championships in January 2030, a milestone that aligns with the nation’s 200th anniversary. The tournaments will unfold at Brussels Expo, which boasts two top-tier indoor pitches and capacity for up to 5,000 spectators.

What makes this particularly notable: it’s only the second time the men’s and women’s championships are held together. Hamburg pulled off the first joint event in 2022. Each tournament—men’s and women’s—will field ten nations.

Belgium knows how to do this. The country hosted the men’s Euro indoors in Leuven in 2024 and ran the men’s EuroHockey Indoor Championships in Antwerp in 2018.

But first comes the qualifying gauntlet. January 2028 will see women’s qualifying in Vienna and men’s qualifying in Gniezno, both determining who reaches the 2030 finals.
