Toyota Deploys Five Rally1 Cars at WRC Delfi Rally Estonia

Can Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT’s five-car Rally1 lineup take control in the compact but brutal Estonian forests? They’re about to find out. The team will run Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta, Oliver Solberg, Sami Pajari and Sebastien Ogier across the WRC Delfi Rally Estonia, 16–19 July.

Evans pilots the #33 Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 alongside co-driver Scott Martin, heading into a packed 53-car entry list. The opposition is fierce: Hyundai brings Adrien Fourmaux, Thierry Neuville and Esapekka Lappi, while M-Sport Ford counters with Jon Armstrong, Josh McErlean and Martins Sesks. Across all three manufacturers, 11 Rally1 cars will start.

This rally demands absolute precision. Eighteen gravel stages cover 301.80 competitive kilometres through southern Estonia’s varied terrain—wide forest roads, tight technical sections, and exposed crests. Friday kicks off with a morning shakedown and a Tartu opening ceremony, then a first-time P1 demo show.
